Thank you so much Nicky for inviting me to talk with all of you today. I am a big fan of Nicky and her Little Family Adventure blog. We have been on this blogging and healthy eating journey together and I consider Nicky to be one of my best friends. For these reasons and so many more, it truly is an honor to be here today.
First………A little about me
I’m Christina from Juggling Real Food and Real Life. I’m a mom to 4 great kids. Two of them are old enough to be called adults. Yikes! Like you, I am trying to eat as healthy as possible with our busy family schedule. I am a dance mom, scout mom, football mom, music mom, Sunday school teacher, and I work full-time outside of the home. Changing my life from survival mode to a life of intention has been a process………a process that I am still working on to this day. If you have ever felt overwhelmed with your busy family schedule, please know you are not alone. The good news is that I have learned a lot about eating real food along the way. I love to share my recipes and secrets on how I get real food to the table on a regular basis. Healthy eating with a busy family schedule……….it is possible!
I am passionate about teaching children to cook. When children have cooking skills, they are more equipped to make healthy food choices. These are skills that will last with them for a lifetime. Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution shares my views on healthy eating and the importance of teaching children to cook. That is why I was proud to join on as a Food Revolution Ambassador. Each year, we ambassadors put on events in our communities for Food Revolution Day in May. I combine my love for healthy food with my love for the Girl Scouts and hold an event for the Girl Scouts in my area. These girls have taught me so much about cooking with kids. Today, I share those lessons with you.
