Spring brings Expo West, the largest natural products trade show in the country, to the Anaheim Convention Center. This year, I was thrilled to be invited back to the New Hope Blogger Team. They asked that I share three of my favorite products and you can find that on their site here. But there were just too many products and trends this year, that three didn’t even scratch the surface. So I decided to create this list and share more great natural products that I discovered at Expo West this year.
While in Anaheim, I also got to meet Tim Patterson, The Tradeshow Guy. We met at the show and then sat down for his Monday Morning Coffee chat after the show. I share a few things with him there too. Listen to the podcast here.
This list includes natural foods, home products, and more. Many of them are out now, but a few at set to be released soon. If they are available now, I’ve mentioned where you can find them. Some may be affiliate links which provide a commission when you purchase through them. You can also shop for many of your favorite natural products at Thrive Market. Truffle, Dill, and Chive Plant Based Cheese from Kite Hill
Plant based foods were a HUGE trend this year. This vegan cheese made with almond milk is smooth and creamy. I tried it with the Lavash listed below, a drizzle of balsamic glaze, and sprinkle of parsley. So my goodness! It was delicious! You can find it in a store near you.
Multi-Grain Lavash from Ozery Bakery
You may be familiar with Ozery Bakery’s Morning Rounds. They are very popular in my house. But new this year are these lavash flatbreads. They are like a cracker and have that same crunch. Certified non-GMO and vegan. Lavash is coming soon.
Wildway Smoothie Bowl Starter Mixes
I can start my day with egg based protein powder with something a little extra. Each of blends contain egg white and collagen protein, probiotics, and MCT oil. I like that it doesn’t have a gritty texture and the “extra” in each blend can help me recharge, recover, restore, or relax. You can find it on the Wildway website.
Wild Keto Bacon Style Salmon from Simply West Coast
Combing two of my favorite things, wild salmon and bacon into a delicious bite. This was one of last year’s Nexty Award winners but it was new to me. Texture is similar to turkey bacon with peppery finish. Find it in a store near you.
Chile Lime Popcorn from Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop
Chile Lime flavored chips and snacks was a trend I saw a lot of this year. This popcorn showed off the flavored really well without being too salty or too spicy like some of the chips I tried. The additional of this savory flavor was a great addition to Angie’s other sweet flavors. Chile is coming soon.
Ramen & Soup Kits from Presserly
Last year, one of the trends was bone broth and it was strong again this year. These organic soup kits offer a combination of soup and noodles in a convenient package. Soup/broth is kept in one side and whole wheat noodles in the other. Heat and serve for a healthy soup or ramen everyone can enjoy. Find it in a.
Mini Pancakes from Belgian Boys
I grew up with these Dutch mini pancakes dusted with powdered sugar and a drizzle of molasses. These pancakes can be found in the freezer case. When you get them home, you just microwave and enjoy. Coming soon.
Peatos Cheese Snacks from World Peas
These pulse snacks are made with peas, lentils, and beans. Think of them as a healthy version of a Cheetos that taste great. They have the crunch of the classic snack but are packed with more protein and fiber. Plus they don’t turn your fingers orange. I really liked the Masala flavor but my kids devoured the Fiery Hot version. You can find them in the produce section of grocery stores or on the Amazon website.
Parmesan with Rosemary Cheese Petites from Stacy’s
These new cheese crackers are delicious! They remind me of parmesan cheese melted onto a cookie sheet. They are light and packed with flavor. I enjoyed them all by themselves. Not available in stores just yet. Coming soon.
Dragon Fruit Supersnacks from Made in Nature
We love Made in Nature snacks in our house. At Expo West, they debuted several new products including these dried dragon fruit crisps. They are simply dehydrated fruit. Each bags combines both the white and red fleshed varieties so they are naturally colorful. Watch for these in stores soon but you can find all the other Made in Nature products in stores and on Amazon.
Organic Monk Fruit liquid sweetener from NOW Foods
I have tried to ditch the sugar/sweetener but there are some things, like iced tea, that I can’t do without. This new monkfruit liquid sweetener is sweet like sugar without the after taste of other natural sweeteners. Coming soon, but look for other great products at NowFoods.com.
Mexican Cold Brew Coffee with Organic Whole Milk from Chameleon
Chameleon has married cold brew latte with a horchata into this tasty drink. Before the show, I wasn’t a huge fan of cold brew. But this converted me and I can’t wait for it to arrive in stores. It brews coffee, organic milk, and cinnamon into great way to start the day. Coming Soon.
Citrus Sparkling Cold Brew from Chameleon
Chameleon has a second thing on this list of natural products. This sparkling cold brew is very different than the first. It’s a sparkling beverage combining citrus flavor with cold brew. It’s lighter than you’d expect and really refreshing. If you like sparkling water and coffee, they definitely give this a try. Coming Soon.
Instant Mango Green Tea from Cusa Tea
This is instant tea that tastes really good hot or cold. What makes this different from other instant tea is that it is cold brewed then vacuum crystallized. This special process allows the tea to be perfect every time without preservatives or additives. Tea comes in individual sleeves which make it ideal for travel, road trips, or hiking. Find in stores and online.
Mandarin Orange Sparkling Water from Zevia
Sparkling water was a trend this year too. This was one of my favorites. There are no artificial sweeteners or sugar. The flavor is light and really refreshing. They also debuted an energy drink line as well.
CBD Oil from Barlean’s
CBD Oil seemed to be the buzz word this year at Expo West. Many companies debuted CBD products ranging from oil to infused water. As a Barlean’s ambassador, I get to try new products from them and this is one that is going soon. It will be available in two types so watch for more on this soon.
Silicone Drinkware from Silipint
These are perfect for kids and adults alike. They are glasses and drinkware made from food grade silicone. They are unbreakable, heat resistant, freezer safe, dishwasher safe, and more. I liked them so much that I partnered with them before the show to host a giveaway. My kids love the fun designs on the smaller glasses. I like that they can go anywhere with us without worry. Find these on their website and on Amazon website.
Whipped Body Butter from Wedderspoon
I love Wedderspoon’s Manuka Honey and Manuka Pops. We’ve worked together and plan to showcase several new things later this year including a full line of body/skin care products. I’m a fan of all things vanilla and really enjoyed this scent. It’s not available yet, but I’ll be sure to update you here when it is.
ECOS for Pets Line – Stain/Odor Removers, Shampoos, and Cleaners
I have used ECOS products for a few years for the house and laundry. All of their products use plant based ingredients and their pet line does too. They partnered with Disney, which I love, and all the products are gentle on animals. The products range from shampoos and cage cleaners to skunk odor removers. Find it on Amazon website and on
Cedar Wraps from Fire & Flavor
I can already see a hundred uses for these cedar wraps. They are super thin sheets of cedar wood that infuse flavor into grilled food. Instead of a standard cedar plank, these sheets are flexible and can be wrapped around food. Find them on Amazon website.
So these are my picks for the best natural products at Expo West 2018. If you want to take a look at last year’s picks, you can find them here (Expo West 2017). The show was massive with a reported 84,000 attendees. Each year it just gets bigger and better. It’s a testament to how consumers shop, what they want, and how they buy.
