My kids started back this week and we were definitely NOT ready. Mornings have been a struggle so I’ve needed breakfast recipes that are super quick and portable. Luckily, every one can agree on these Dole Whip (Disney Parks Inspired) Smoothies for breakfast. I can throw everything together in the blender for a quick breakfast. If needed, I can send a smoothie with the kids as they are rushing out the door.
This is the first fall that our family isn’t going to Disney World. Actually, we aren’t going anytime soon and that’s left me with a serious craving for a Pineapple Dole Whip. If you have ever been to a Disney Parks, you know the creamy pineapple goodness I speak of.
A Dole Whip is a frozen pineapple soft serve. You can set it served in a cup or as a float surrounded by pineapple juice. Either way you, you get a delicious treat that beats the heat and makes everything better.
Fast forward to today where I’m in the kitchen to create this Disney Parks Inspired Dole Whip Smoothie. Why a smoothie you ask? Because with the kids being back at school and my crazy work schedule, I want to be able to enjoy my treat anywhere. So no matter where I’m running off to, I can take this Dole Whip Smoothie with me. That sounds like a plan I can sink my teeth into, or more pointedly drink to.
This Dole Whip Smoothie is SUPER simple. Just 3 ingredients blended together and I’ll have a creamy pineapple smoothie that I can enjoy anywhere. Those ingredients include:
- Frozen pineapple
- Whole Milk Vanilla Yogurt
- Vanilla
You’ll notice I’m using whole milk yogurt in this recipe. As a general rule, I don’t use low fat or non-fat anything. With dairy, there are many reasons to eat full-fat dairy. For me, it just tastes better and because it is closer to what nature intended. Nutrition is more than counting calories; it’s about making each calorie count. Dairy does that with a powerful nutrient punch. Dairy foods like cow’s milk, cheese, and yogurt, are packed with nine (9) essential nutrients, making them a healthy and delicious choice.
This Dole Whip Disney Smoothie is a great way to start the day. It’s packed with protein, 8 grams of protein per glass to be exact. To get that same amount of protein from a milk substitute, you’d have to drink 8 cups of almond milk. It’s budget friendly too!

Notes
If you don't have frozen pineapple, you can substitute fresh pineapple and 1 cup of ice. It's best to use a very ripe pineapple. Otherwise you may have to add a little natural sweetener: honey, maple, cane sugar, etc.
