Valentine’s Day is just a few days away. This year, create a “love” themed basket and have a fun date night in. I have the perfect basket for you to bring you and your significant other closer together. This Couple’s Valentine Basket is filled with items that both of you will enjoy.
My husband and I have been married almost 20 years. In all that time, we’ve learned that Valentine’s Day isn’t about receiving or giving the most expensive gifts. Although I’ll never say “No” to jewelry or a trip to some exotic location. For us, Valentine’s Day is about spending quality time together and celebrating our relationship. This year, we’ve decided to not exchange gifts, but instead will have a fun date night in.
We are going to create this fun “love” themed basket with a few products that we both will enjoy. There’s chocolate covered strawberries, chocolates, personalized “Love” coupons, a bottle of wine, 2 glasses, and K-Y® Love Couples Pleasure Gel products. We’ll enjoy a special homemade dinner with the kids. Then after they go to bed, we can enjoy our basket.
Personalized “Love” coupons are easy to make and can add spark to your relationship. Your coupon book can be as tame or as adventurous as you want them to be. You customize these coupons to fit your relationship. They can be designed to be used in one evening or over a period of time.
To help create your own coupon book, here is a template you can use. You can write in your redemption ideas or use a program like Paint to add in the text.
Here are some “tame” ideas:
- Romantic Movie Night
- Back Massage
- Coffee and Dessert
- Foot Rub
- A Passionate Kiss
- “Play Hooky” – Cancel plans and spend the day together
For more “adventurous” ideas:
- A weekend away without the kids
- A hot tub for two
- An Afternoon Delight
- Romantic Fantasy Fulfillment
- A “Blank Check” to be redeemed for any wish desired
These K-Y® Love products can help add spark to your date night. The K-Y® Love Sensuality and Passion Couples Pleasure Gels are exclusive to Target stores for Valentine’s Day. I found these in the feminine care aisle.
To finish this “Love” themed basket, create these delicious Chocolate Covered Strawberries for both of you to enjoy. They are delicious and very easy to make. You can make them ahead of time or both of you can get in the kitchen and create them together. Click on the video below to see just how easy these are to create.
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 8 large strawberries
- Waxed paper
Instructions
- Place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl or ramekin. Microwave at 50% power for 60 seconds, stirring every 20 seconds. Chocolate will be ready when all chips are melted and the chocolate is smooth.
- Grab each strawberry by the stem. Dip into the melted chocolate. Turn the strawberry to coat on each side. Place on waxed paper to allow the chocolate to set. Repeat with remaining strawberries.
- Place strawberries in the refrigerator to harden completely. Remove them when ready to serve.

When it’s time to assemble your Valentine basket, gather your items together and place them in a basket or container. If you don’t drink alcohol, you can substitute a bottle of sparkling apple cider or any other beverage of choice. After that, the only thing left to do is enjoy the night and have fun with your partner.
Those are my plans for this year’s Valentine gift. I’d love to hear about your plans!
