This recipe for cheesesteak sloppy joes is based on my Keto Philly Cheesesteak stuffed bell peppers recipe. I got a great deal on grass-fed ground beef and was looking for new ways to use it outside tacos, meatballs, burgers. I took those same seasonings of garlic and Worcestershire plus the onions, peppers, and mushrooms. Then I put it all on a lightly toasted bun with cheese melted over the top. VOILA!!! Cheesy goodness!!! But don’t take my word on it. Try it yourself.

Make Ahead Meal Idea
Just like my original homemade sloppy joes recipe, you can double the recipe (or even triple it) and freeze it into smaller portions. Honestly, I think all sloppy joes are perfect for freezer batch cooking. Just prep and cook the ground beef, pepper onion, and mushroom mixture and then freeze. When you are ready to make this for dinner, just reheat, place on a bun, and add the cheese.

Substitutions: you can substitute 1 teaspoon garlic powder for the garlic cloves and ground turkey for the ground beef. Also, these are great as sliders.
