Everyone’s looking for the best deals these days, and if you have a family heading out on a National Park road trip or flying to Disney World or Orlando soon, then you probably want to know where to get the best prices. Fortunately, I’ve got you covered. Below are the best places to save on family travel that I’ve found over the years. Some are perfect for road trips, RVing, and camping. Others are great at saving you money on flights, hotels, tours, and theme park tickets. Use these to plan your next big family vacation!

Flights
Dollar Fight Club
This subscription service alerts you to deep discounts on flights to destinations all over the world. Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, Dollar Flight Club can save you time and money! There is a free and paid option.
Skyscanner
This is the site you need to use when finding flights. They always find the best deals and their calendar view lets you see which days are cheapest to fly. They search the small booking sites no one else does. Start all your flight searches with them.
Google Flights
This site is great because it lets you find the cheapest destinations from your departure airport. You can see different airlines in one place and find great deals if you are just looking to getting away “somewhere” for the weekend or a week.
Accommodations

Booking.com
I find the best deals on lodging at Booking.com. I like that it offers a range of options too from local guesthouses and bed & breakfasts to luxury hotels. Most of the time, they offer rates lower than when booking directly thru the property.
VRBO.com
Why be cramped in a small hotel room? Spread out in an apartment, house, or cabins instead. I like to rent thru VRBO and get a full kitchen to cut down on food costs while on vacation.
Camping / RVing

Campspot
Easily research and instantly book the best campgrounds, RV parks, cabins, and glamping destinations across North America. It’s easy to filter by location, type of getaway, site type, and amenities. I like this for both last-minute trips and booking well in advance.
RVshare.com
Say hello to the Airbnb of RV rentals. You can find an RV to suit your needs and budget for a road trip. You can also find an RV that can be delivered to your destination for the ultimate glamping experience.
For more information on the questions to ask when renting an RV, visit this article on how to determine the best RV for your trip.
Tour Companies/ Activities

Viator
One-Stop Tour Booking
This is where I go to research and book tours and excursions. The site features local tour operators offering everything from local cooking classes to guided kayaking trips.
CityPass
Save up to 45% off!
When visiting popular US cities like Tampa Bay, Orlando, San Diego, and New York, a CityPASS can save you up to 45% off top attractions by bundling tickets together into one pass.
Resort Pass
Get day passes to enjoy the amenities at popular hotels, spas, and resorts. It’s a great way to enjoy a resort pool during a staycation or when your lodging doesn’t have a pool. Passes start at $25.
Groupon
Get day passes to enjoy the amenities at popular hotels, spas, and resorts. It’s a great way to enjoy a resort pool during a staycation or when your lodging doesn’t have a pool. Passes start at $25.
Undercover Tourist
Get discounted tickets on Disney theme park tickets, Universal, LEGOLAND, and more. They are an authorized Disney ticket seller and there are no hidden fees.
Travel Credit Cards

Chase Sapphire Preferred
This is an excellent all-around card for any type of traveler. You earn 3x points on dining, 2x points on travel, and a $50 hotel credit annually with no foreign transaction fees and primary rental car coverage. The Chase travel portal and transfer partners make it very flexible to exchange for travel.
Travel Freely
This free service is what I use to manage the ins and outs of travel hacking, maximizing travel incentives with credit card reward programs.
I had Zac Hood of Travel Freely on my podcast, Untethered & Wanderwise: Female Travel Over 45. He shared tips on travel hacking and how to easily use his free service.
Earn Money On Everyday Spending
I use Fetch Rewards to earn money back on everyday purchases. It’s free to join and use. You simply upload receipts and earn points that can be redeemed on airline gift cards, hotel gift cards, restaurants, and retails like Amazon. Click here to get started.
