What You’ll Need for Paleo Meatballs
- 1 ½ lb ground beef (or other meats)
- ¼ cup fresh chopped parsley (plus extra to garnish)
- 1 large egg
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped (divided between meatballs and sauce)
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 teaspoons salt, divided
- 1 can crushed tomatoes, 28 ounces
- 1 can tomato paste
- ¼ cup finely chopped onion
- 2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Meatball Making How To
- Mix together the meatball ingredients; ground beef, chopped parsley, egg, 2 chopped garlic cloves, red pepper flakes, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Form 24 small meatballs and place them in the base of the slow cooker.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together all of the sauce ingredients; crushed tomatoes and paste, chopped onion, oregano, 1 garlic clove, and 1 teaspoon of salt, and black pepper.
- Pour sauce over the meatballs in the slow cooker.
- Cook on low heat for 5-5.5 hours or until the meatballs are cooked through.
