Eco travel and reducing our carbon footprint is a trend I’m thrilled to see. As a traveler, it’s important to go green whenever possible and one of the easiest ways is to opt for reusable, eco friendly travel products.

Those travel sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are made to be single use and tossed. These and other types of single use plastic has become a huge epidemic. As I sit to write this article on environmentally friendly products it’s June 8th, World Oceans Day. This is a day dedicated to raising awareness of impact single use plastic has on the world.

Making small changes to go green have a huge impact on protecting our environment. I’ve gathered my favorite eco friendly travel products for you here. These are what my family and I use every time we take a road trip or vacation. They will help you too to travel and go green at the same time. Oh and they will save you money in the long run too!

We can all take small steps toward reducing our environmental impact. As travelers a great place to start is to reduce waste. Swap out single use products for reusable ones. These environmentally friendly products are a great start!

Ditch the single use plastic quart bag for your carry-on liquids. This water resistant zippered bag from Eagle Creek is ultra durable. When looking for eco friendly travel containers I wanted durable and lightweight. So I opted for silicone instead of recylced plastic. This bag includes 4 refillable silicone bottles in two sizes.

Mosquitos and the threat of Zika is a serious concern. I always look for more natural alternatives to chemically laced products.
