Well you’ve come to the right place! We have over 20 one pot meals that are perfect for the skillet or Dutch oven camping recipes using cast iron.The great thing about cooking with a cast iron dutch oven is you can use it as a skillet or as an oven. So I’ll included recipes for both. Many can be used on a variety of heat sources too; propane/dual fuel camp stove, directly over a fire, or using hot coals/charcoal. So there are a variety of options here depending on what you are hungry for.

If you don’t have any cast iron in your camping box, I HIGHLY recommend Lodge cast iron. I have had my favorite Lodge skillet for over 12 years and use it on almost every camping trip. I just got a new Lodge 6 quart Dutch Oven that I am working on new recipes with. So stay tuned for those in upcoming weeks.
