Here are fun family-friendly trip ideas and great advice to help decide where the next vacation destination should be.
Our family loves to travel and we get away as much as we can. It could be an overnight trip to Dallas, a weekend away to Missouri, or a week-long vacation at a theme park. But something I read the other day put a new perspective on family vacations. The article talked about only having 18 summers with your kids to make lasting memories. Have you ever thought about summer vacation that way? I know that we actually have many more opportunities, but kids are kids for only so long. Quantifying vacations that way really put an urgency on planning our next vacation.

Here on Little Family Adventure you will find plenty of destination ideas for the first 5 ideas. The others are on the bucket list. I grew up going to Disneyland and now take my kids to Disney World on average of once a year. But I think there should be a balance and that’s why we camp often to give the kids the opportunity to experience the world in different ways. My youngest was just 6 months the first time he went to a theme park and camping. I don’t think there is such a thing as “too young” to travel. It’s just a different experience.
Vacation time is more than just the destination. It’s a chance to spend time together as a family and make memories that will last a lifetime. The best souvenirs aren’t actually things, but the stories and experiences you share from past trips.
